I was born in Holland and came to live in the UK with my parents when I was a toddler. I have lived in Hove for many years.
I have had many interesting jobs but I am now a qualified beautician and beauty trainer, having studied beauty therapy at BTEC in 2006 at Brighton College. I became a lash artist in 2014 and went on to study the art of Russian volume eyelash extensions in 2017. I qualifiled in a further Russian volume course with a Lash Master that same year, as I wanted to advance and improve my technique.
I love performing beauty treatments and my passion is applying eyelash extensions. I like to make people feel good about themselves. I especially enjoy doing lashes and brows to provide a beautiful effect that can really help enhance a person's eyes. There are now so many options to choose from – specifically in the lash industry as it has grown immensely and I like keeping up to date with the latest methods.
I have experience of working in a number of salons and have performed a wide range of beauty treatments, such as definition brows, lash and brow extensions, tints, lash lifts, callus peels, gel nails, manicures, pedicures, waxing, tanning, facials and more. I have had previous roles in sales, retail, events, management and customer services.
I have also worked abroad at the Dead Sea Clinic in Jordan, where I provided eyelash and brow tints to patients suffering with vitiligo. Vitiligo is an auto-immune disease that affects the melanin in the skin, causing white patches. It is non-contagious and can affect hair as well as skin. Every year trips are organised so that people who have vitiligo can benefit from the climatotherapy treatment at the Dead Sea. It is so amazing to see the vitiligo patches with new pigmented dots of melanin come through when there has been no pigment at all for quite some time. Being part of the group is also so beneficial for healing and support. I myself suffer from vitiligo, and have had alopecia at times in my life which is one of the auto-immune diseases linked to vitiligo. Having these conditions has helped me empathise with others and understand the effects of lash and brow treatments on self-esteem.
In 2018 I became a qualified beauty trainer and set up my own training academy in Hove which is accredited by the Guild of Beauty Therapists. I wanted to provide people with informative courses and actually learn a great deal of new skills that would set them up on a great path to a satisfying and lucrative career. I now teach one-to-one and group courses and offer ongoing support to students on how to correctly apply eyelash extensions as well as how to perform many other beauty treatments (see Training Courses).

I can say 100% going to the Dead Sea and choosing this beneficial treatment over all others
was the best decision I ever made for my skin and my mental wellbeing.
